Women Love Power Aretha Franklin: Case Study In Respect, Soul & Feminine Bravado

  1. Women Love Power: Laniqua & Kaniqua thank you. There are more videos but I am not a professional YouTuber nor is that my goal. I write, speak and run a digital platform for a living and the team is small. These videos are an extension of womenlovepower. When I step away, it’s not laziness or disinterest, it’s because I’m working on other aspects of the business, like courses which take at least 6 months of exhaustive creative labor to complete. And there is only one of me. I hope you enjoy what I can offer , when I do, and fortunately there are many you tubers out there sharing their 2 cents as well.
  2. Eva Adesuwa: OMG I love you, Ayesha..I really do 😂
  3. Maxine Torosian: Wow! You put together this video so beautifully and professionally. Very inspirational!! Thank you!
  4. Laniqua & Kaniqua: Loved this video! Lol can u please upload consistently?
  5. badpants17: I LIVE for your videos. So much wisdom, thank you Ayesha x
  6. Z. JF: The fact that you uploaded this on my birthday is such confirmation for me <3
  7. Mariah Benjamin: Your content is just AMAZING!
  8. Women Love Power: lol!
  9. Ambrosia Devyani: This is so inspiring
  10. Chocolate Divine: Now I’m the mood for soul food 🥘 lol 😂
  11. Iris Castillo: You're back!!! Please be consistent, queen!
  12. cristiful1O1: LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! Too bad I had to find out what a legend she was after her death. My goodness!
  13. Donna Harris: Kolkhoz Woman I concur and your facts are intact! Not a message of negativity and falsehoods. The only remark that is incorrect is of the notion that her mother abandoned her children. She abandoned her husband, it was said by all her children that she and her children visited each other as often as they could. She was also not financially able to care for and house her five children once she left her husband.
  14. Jo: I was completely enjoying this up until 4:45. 😒 Ayesha please do not spread lies about Aretha’s mother. I know you said “contested”, but do you mind either telling the truth or just editing that part of the video out? This is the real story: Aretha’s father, C.L. Franklin , was adulterous and even impregnated/raped a 12 year old girl. Barbara, Aretha’s mother, sang in the choir and even Mahalia Jackson said she had the most beautiful voice she ever heard. Barbara did not leave the family or abandon the kids. She was sick and tired of being cheated on! So she left the household, C.L. didn’t allow her to bring her kids with her. That’s why she died an early death: constant stress and anxiety. Aretha has refuted this rumor that the mom somehow abandoned her. Please correct this! Your erroneous statement kinda ruined this for me. 😤
  15. Jahdiel Ben Yisrael: This is the 4th video of yours I am watching. I always check the comments once I finish to see what women are taking from each one. Sadly though, I've come to notice something missing. Where are the men? All the men like myself, who are confident enough in their "masculine power" that they can bend the knee and support females as they find their way back to their true power. Those who supposedly are crying out for the return of the "woman".
  16. Women Love Power: Jo I left it at ‘contested’ because I don’t know the truth and don’t want to spread hear say and the point of the video is much broader than that. The only thing for sure is that she left, though there is a great chance she left because of an abusive relationship with CL Franklin. I will not be taking this video down as so much effort went into it and I did not ‘lie’ nor is this my intention... but I will add a note to the description.
  17. zheahra: This was a TRUE tribute to the essence that is Aretha Franklin!!!!!!!!

  32. Women Love Power: Iris McFly there are more videos but I am not a professional YouTuber nor is that my goal. I write, speak and run a digital platform for a living and the team is small. These videos are an extension of womenlovepower. When I step away, it’s not laziness or disinterest or lack of consistency as i actually work from all day every day! Its because I’m working on other aspects of the business, like courses which take at least 6 months of exhaustive creative labor to complete. And there is only one of me. I do these videos when I can, as a supplementary aspect of my platform, but they are not actually my full time thing or the bread and butter of womenlovepower. I hope you enjoy what I can offer , when I do, and fortunately there are many you tubers out there also sharing their 2 cents, more consistently, as well.
